Michelle Flower Towey (Shelli)— Lay Minister
Michelle Flower Towey has faithfully served as a Methodist Lay Minister since 2013 and is also a dedicated Stephen Minister. Her passion for ministry and teaching began as a teenager, when she first became involved in youth ministry, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School. For more than 12 years, Shelli served as the Youth Leader at Prospect Park United Methodist Church, helping guide and encourage young people in their faith journey.
Throughout her years at PUMC, Shelli has faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, and Vacation Bible School director. She is deeply involved in the life and outreach ministries of the church and is instrumental in the ongoing work of the Hope Thru Wholeness monthly free farmers market ministry. Whether setting up, breaking down, working in the kitchen, or preparing homemade soup for guests attending the outreach, Shelli consistently demonstrates a servant’s heart and a deep commitment to caring for others.
Shelli also works closely with Delco Helping Hands Pantry, volunteering on Saturday evenings and partnering in the shared mission of helping individuals and families throughout the community. As an active church board member, she continually seeks meaningful ways to serve, support, and uplift others through the church's ministry.
Her love for God is evident in all that she does. Through her compassion, faithfulness, outreach, and servant leadership, Shelli strives to lead others closer to Christ and to share the love and grace of God through the many ministries and missions she supports.
